China Minsheng Investment Corporation is a comprehensive investment company set up by 59 renowned private businesses organized by All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce with RMB50bn in registered capital. These large-scale private businesses, all owning stakes or majority stakes in a number of public companies, come from sectors such as machinery manufacturing, metallurgy, information technology, asset management, environment protection, new energy, electric power and e-commerce, including Suning, Yida Holding Co., Ltd., Oceanwide Construction Group, Giant Interactive Group, Hodo Group, Kechuang Group, Dongyue Group, Zongshen Industrial Group, etc.. Dong Wenbiao, former chairman of China Minsheng Bank, was elected chairman of China Minsheng Investment Corporation; Sun Yinhuan, chairman of Yida Group, Lu Zhiqiang, chairman of Oceanwide Construction Group, Shi Yuzhu, chairman of Giant Interactive Group, and Li Yinhang, former vice president of Hana Financial Group were elected vice-chairmen of the corporation. The newly established corporation would primarily engage in equity investment, equity investment management, business consulting, financial consulting, industrial investment, asset management and investment consulting.
Song and He coordinated a team of 10 partners and 20 associates and paralegals to participate in a bid for admission into the pool of PRC attorneys that China Minsheng Investment Corporation mobilized to assist in its conduct of business. After going through steps of preparing for bidding documents, tender and answering queries, the team successfully won the bid.
The team would advise China Minsheng Investment Corporation on industrial investment, financial investment, property development and infrastructure and construction.
