In an announcement issued on September 18, Guangdong Alpha Animation & Culture Co., Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as “Alpha Animation”) confirmed its plan to purchase all issued stock of Information Harbor (“zixun gang” in Chinese pinyin), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Imagi International Holdings Limited, at a price of HK$634.2mln. In so doing, Alpha Animation would be able to land the exclusive management rights of a series of name brands such as “Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf”(“xiyangyang yu huitailang” in Chinese pinyin).
Alpha Animation (stock code: 002292) is the first listed company in China’s animation industry. It is also one of the most influential and promising animation culture industry groups in China.
