Recently, attorney Sun Bo from the construction and real estate practice of Dacheng’s Shanghai office was commissioned by Consulate General of Israel in Shanghai to advise it on matters related to the fitting-out works of its office.
The consulate adopted universally used “FIDIC Short Form of Contract” to bind the contractor of the fitting-out project. Attorney Sun Bo reviewed and revised terms of the contract and offered counsel on the applicability of FIDIC contract form in China, negotiation strategies and consular immunities. The attorney also examined the project management contract and provided opinion on its applicability under Chinese laws.
The service, which was delivered in the English language from beginning to end, was greatly appreciated by the Consulate and Israeli government agencies.
