On June 29, 2015, the Municipal Party Committee of Chongqing and the People’s Government of Chongqing released their decision on awarding model districts (counties), organizations, and towns and villages. Altogether 101 organizations were awarded, including three non-public business entities and social organizations. Dacheng’s Chongqing office is the only law firm receiving such an honor.

In recent years, the Chongqing office has put an emphasis on the following aspects to improve itself as a legal service provider: (1) ideologically, the office tried to offer guidance to lawyers in developing healthy life philosophy, value system, and work ethics; (2) credit enhancement. The office has established a credit-based practice evaluation system, where clients and people’s degree of satisfaction toward a lawyer is the determining factor of his credit-worthiness and the office keeps a record on this; (3) business development. The office has formed a “Lecturers Mission”, where lawyers from the office play the role of lecturers of law and instruct local enterprises and communities on a regular basis; (4) talent development. The office adopts measures to improve its talent cultivation mechanism and fully taps its internal party branch to mobilize and motivate personnel for self-improvement.

The Chongqing office will cherish this model firm award and carry on with its exploration of new practice, finding new solutions, and making new achievements.
