Dacheng Shanghai Office Named “100 Advantageous and Promising Businesses in Service Trade”

On April 24, International Business Daily (“Zhongguoshangbao” in Chinese pinyin) released the list of 100 Advantageous and Promising Businesses in Service Trade in Shanghai. Dacheng Shanghai office was selected as one of them.

Recent years has seen robust growth of service trade in Shanghai. To give more impetus to the sector, the municipal government of Shanghai has released a number of supportive measures. In Opinion on the Implementation of Measures for All-round Development of Service Trade in Shanghai (2009), the government pointed out that criteria for selecting top 100 enterprises in service trade should be formulated and a yearly selection should be carried out and publicized; those selected would enjoy both preferential policy and service support. This initiative aims to create more favorable images for Shanghai-based service trade businesses, help them expand domestic and overseas markets and encourage the import and export of services.

The selection was completed by Shanghai Association of International Services Trade (“SAIST”), with support and guidance from Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce. Enterprises were either recommended by trade associations or recommended themselves and were assessed based on industry-specific import and export data from State Administration of Foreign Exchange, influence, credit record and other factors. Eventually, 100 enterprises that best represented the advantage and potential of Shanghai’s service trade sector stood out from the rest. The selection served as recognition of achievements of these enterprises and an encouragement for all businesses to contribute to Shanghai’s economic growth.
