Dentons and China Industry and Commerce Press Host “Corporate Compliance against Trade Confrontation Forum”

“The Corporate Compliance against Trade Confrontation Forum”, hosted by Dentons Beijing office, Corporate and M&A Practice Group of Dentons Beijing office and China Industry and Commerce Press, and supported by Corporate Committee of Dentons China, took place in ParkView Green on July 14, 2018. It is the first external-facing event following the reestablishment of practice groups in Dentons Beijing, and has attracted more than 110 lawyers from across Dentons China, scholars, business representatives and professionals.

The morning session was moderated by senior partner Yan Lipin from our Beijing office. Ms. Yan said: “We are the world’s largest firm, and specialization is paramount in our quest to become a leading one. This forum is the first of its kind following the formation of the Corporate and M&A Practice Group, and happens to take place against backdrop of US-China trade war, a special time that has profound implications for our country, businesses and individuals. Today we have the honor of having with us experts in this topic, who will share their insight. As our business are going global, compliance has become a big challenge. This year, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council issued new rules regarding the SOEs’ compliance and governance. So it is essential to carefully review Guidelines on Compliance and Management, effective on July 1, and improve the quality of our legal service.”
