A service contract was recently concluded between Zhongyuan Bank Co., Ltd. and Dacheng’s Zhengzhou office by which a team of attorneys from the office were retained as standing legal counsel for the bank. The team is led and coordinated by Song Zhao, senior partner and executive head of the office and includes partner Tian Xiaowu, associates Ding Junli, Yuan Pengju and Wang Jianhua. The team also acts as standing legal counsel for Zhengzhou branches of China Guangfa Bank, Huaxia Bank and Industrial Bank as well as the head office of Zhengzhou Bank.
Zhongyuan Bank is created following yet the biggest merger of city commercial banks in China, namely, 13 city commercial banks located in Kaifeng, Anyang, Hebi, Xinxiang, Puyang, Xuchang, Luohe, Sanmenxia, Nanyang, Shangqiu, Xinyang, Zhoukou and Zhumadian respectively in the province of Henan. It started to operate on December 26, 2014. The bank, a Tier-1 legal entity, exercises central leadership over the branches that attend to their own business operation and meanwhile delegates managerial power to personnel at the branches. With RMB15.42bn in paid-in capital, the bank has RMB209.4bn in assets and RMB188.2bn in liabilities and operates a network of 428 facilities, involving a total of 10,836 employees.
