Dentons launches tool for quick searching exports of China exposed to Section 301 tariffs

Recently, the Office of the US Trade Representative (USTR) initiated an investigation under Section 301 on China's intellectual property and innovation practices, and released the tariff list on Chinese products on September 18, 2018.

In order to facilitate Chinese export enterprises to accurately identify whether their export products are exposed to the Section 301 tariff, Dentons China Trade Relief team worked alongside with Beijing Hulian Zhitong Network Technology Co., Ltd. and jointly launched a tool for quick searching exports of China that are exposed to Section 301 Tariff" (the Tool).

The Tool has the following features:
· Confirm whether the export product falls within the scope of Section 301 tariff list
· Specify the tariff measures
· Effective dates of tariffs
· Specific tariff rate

Steps for using this tool

4. Enter the 8-figure US import tariff code to check whether the product is exposed
