Jason Qingshan Zhang graduated from Xiamen University (LLB) and Renmin University (LLM). He has been practising law in reputable Chinese and international law firms for over 14 years as of 2023. Jason has been admitted to the Panel of Foreign-related Lawyers by Beijing Bar Association.


Jason focuses on offshore private fund formation, fund investment, corporate financing, outbound investment and foreign direct investment. His practice covers a variety of industries including integrated circuits, software development, pharmaceutical R&D, diagnostic solutions, e-commerce, online games, advertisement, entertainment, insurance, trust, chemical engineering, shipbuilding, property development, etc.  Having worked and been well trained in top Chinese and international law firms for more than 14 years, Jason has gained solid professional skills as well as international vision, and has achieved high proficiency in English as working language (in addition to Mandarin being his native language).


Jason has advised a number of Chinese and international fund managers and conglomerates on the formation of dozens of offshore funds, and has advised offshore funds on their investments in a variety of industries. Also, he has acted for reputable multinationals to carry out greenfield investments or acquisitions in China, and for Chinese companies to carry out investments or acquisitions outside China. The clients that Jason worked for or is working for include Sequoia Capital, IDG, Tiger Global, Innovation Works, Matrix Partners, Samsung Venture, Korea Investment Partners, Mousse Partners, Legendstar, Panacea Venture, Vantagepoint Venture, JAFCO Fund, Trident Capital, Accenture, Tesco Plc, Aegis Group Plc, Cisco, etc.
