Weidong specializes in bill of lading, charterparty, multimodal transoport, ship sale & purchase, shipbuilding, collision, marine pollution, personal injury, international sale of goods, and insurance matters.

Weidong represents international clients in all kinds of maritime and commercial disputes before Chinese courts and arbitral tribunals, with particular strength and experience with the maritime courts, and CIETAC / CMAC arbitration.

Weidong has been working for the world’s major shipowners, charterers, P&I clubs, insurance companies and traders for over 13 years.

Weidong graduated from Shanghai International Studies University in 1995 with his B.A. degree.  He worked for two years in Shanghai Port Authority before he attended law school at Shanghai Maritime University where he obtained his LLM in maritime law in 2000.

Weidong is a supporting member of London Martime Arbitrators Association, a member of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association and the Chinese Maritime Law Association.
