Work Experience
Ms. Mingyue Dun is specialized at enforcement of intellectual property rights (IPRs) through litigation and administrative action. She started to practice in IP field in 1993 when she joined a leading agency on intellectual property service in China. Since then, she was involved in almost every area of IP protection, such as infringement litigation, administrative action, Customs’ protection, trademark prosecution, patent prosecution, copyright registration, domain name protection, etc., and accumulated rich experience in these areas. She represented various multinational enterprises before China courts to enforce their intellectual property rights, and won most of the cases. The judgments of the cases she handled were collected by China IPR Judgments and Decisions and other professional legal websites. She organized over hundreds of raid actions for IP protection, in which numerous counterfeit goods were seized and the infringement was stopped effectively. She also represented clients in administrative or legal proceedings where trademark opposition or cancellation, or patent invalidation is involved. She recorded many IPRs of her clients with Customs and handled some cases relating to border measures taken by Customs. Moreover, she handled nearly a hundred of cases on domain name dispute and retrieved domain names for her clients in most of the cases.

While dealing with IP litigation and administrative action, she also published some articles on professional journals from time to time. She analyzed some legal issues and practical problems in IP field in the articles, which expedited the solvent of the problems to some extent. She is also a co-author of the book, How to Protect Your Brand, published by Hong Kong Trade Development Council.

Ms. Mingyue Dun is a visiting professor of Yanshan University.
