Summary
Mr. Ming Wu is dually qualified in PRC and England & Wales. He started practicing law in China in 1999 and was admitted as a solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales in 2012. He is the first PRC lawyer re-qualified in England & Wales via UK Qualified Lawyer Transfer Scheme. He has extensive experience in the areas of cross-border litigation, international arbitration, Chinese outbound investment, corporate M&A, equity and debt financing, anti-corruption and entertainment law (sports and online games).

Mr. Wu has broad experience of representing PRC clients in litigation at home and abroad (PRC, UK and USA) and in international arbitration (including international sports arbitration). In particular, when exposed to dispute resolution where different jurisdictional natures of Continental Civil Law and Anglo-Saxon Common Law are involved, he excels in providing efficient and strategic dispute resolution solutions for his clients and strives for maximizing their interests through assembling a transnational legal service team with lawyers from other jurisdictions.

Mr. Wu led a leading PRC legal service team dedicated to Chinese outbound investment, able to assist PRC clients in resolving complicated outbound investment issues in an effective way. He has extensive experience in outbound investment across a variety of industries, including infrastructure construction, power plant, mining, manufacturing, tobacco and online games. He has represented clients in outbound investment projects across countries and regions including UK, Mexico, Chile, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Romania, Montenegro, Czechoslovakia, Poland, South Africa, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Cambodia. In addition, he has more than eighteen years of practical experience in the areas of corporate M&A and reconstructing, equity and debt financing, anti-corruption (including anti-money laundry), entertainment law (sports and online games), etc..

Experience
• Shanghai Shenhua Liansheng Football Club: represented the Club in a series of arbitration cases before FIFA and Court of Arbitration for Sport (“CAS”) against foreign football players, coaches, and clubs.
• Shanghai Power Equipment Research Institute Co., Ltd.: represented the client in its outbound investment in and establishment of a biomass power plant in Sri Lanka and provided a full range of legal services for the project framework agreement, consulting service agreement, outbound investment permission, project land lease agreement, standard agreement for purchase of electrical energy, and fuel supply agreement.
