Liyuan Du is a senior partner in the Beijing office focusing on litigation and arbitration, finance, corporate and real estate matters. He has extensive experience handling complicated disputes for a wide range of businesses, including security, mining, international trade, real estate and infrastructure construction, banks and insurance.
Liyuan Du has a wealth of experience representing foreign clients in international arbitration cases under CIETAC, BAC, ICC and other international arbitration organizations. His current focus is on the resolution of major management issues in large companies. He has also successfully represented clients in the processing and completion of substantial sophisticated financial transactions. He has a broad client base comprising commercial and investment banks, insurance companies, trust companies, finance companies, funds and other financial institutions and government departments. In addition, he also has considerable experience with corporate matters, including external investment, corporate restructuring and reorganization, mergers and acquisition, IPO and bankruptcy. He has served as general counsel for a number of MNCs, large state-owned-companies, state-owned banks, some foreign enterprises and governmental organizations. In addition, he has also provided legal advice on risk control, contract review and management, labor disputes, corporate investments, project negotiation, finance, loans and international construction contracting for client companies. Mr. Du is also experienced in all stages of real estate development—providing counsel to nearly one hundred real estate development projects.
