Areas of Practice
Mr. Ki Yul Kim’s primary areas of practice include FDI, M&A, resource and energy, and private equity investments. Mr. Kim is a Korean lawyer who has broad relationships with large Korean businesses, government related companies, and financial institutions. Mr. Kim provides differentiated legal services and investment consulting services for his clients by using his nearly ten years of experience and various connections in the investment consulting area between Korea and China. His industry experience includes auto, manufacturing, resource and energy, real estate, finance, culture, and distribution and service.

Work Experience
Mr. Kim graduated Seoul National University with a Bachelor’s degree in law. He has been admitted to The Korean Bar Association since 1991. His working languages are Korean and Chinese.

Mr. Kim joined Dacheng Law Offices in 2010. Before joining Dacheng, Mr. Kim has practiced at law firms in Korea and in the representative office of CHL Ventures, which is located in Beijing. Mr. Kim has worked in China since 2001 and has handled extensive investment projects and M&A consulting projects. In particular, Mr. Kim has advised numerous Korean businesses about investing in China. He is also currently a member of the legal assistance team operating under the embassy of the Republic of Korea located in China and the working committee of the Korean Economic Forum in Beijing.

In addition, Mr. Kim translated the Korean version of FDI in China Q&A 100, which was published by Maekyung Publishing Inc. in 2002. He also co edited A Guide to Investing in China, published by Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 2009 and Korea-Sino Economic Term Dictionary , published by Seoul Shinmun in 2010.
