A team led by attorneys Xin Yajie, Lan Lunshan and Wu Xian from Dacheng’s Kunming office advised Beijing Future Science & Technology Park Development and Construction Co., Ltd. on legal risk prevention and control in the course of construction. The project was completed recently.

Beijing Future Science & Technology Park Development and Construction Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “the park”) is one of the key projects launched by the central government to implement “Recruitment Program of Global Experts” (“Qianren jihua” in Chinese pinyin) for building an innovative nation. It is responsible for carrying out primary and secondary development of 16 square kilometers of land and administering the entry of 24 central enterprises (15 of which have been settled in the park). As part of Beijing’s grand plan of building “two parks, two belts, six advanced business and tech zones and four high-end services districts” (“liangcheng, liangdai, liugao, sixin” in Chinese pinyin), the park bears much strategic importance.

The team of attorneys examined, identified and analyzed possible legal risks in the course of construction management, particularly in respect of bidding, construction site supervision and contracts. On the basis of these, the attorneys drew up plans for improvement, which have been implemented and have produced positive results.
