Dentons Public Policy principal Eric Tanenblatt named Legal Innovator of the Year by the Daily Report

Dentons, the world’s largest law firm, today announces that principal Eric Tanenblatt  received the Daily Report’s Legal Innovator of the Year award. Tanenblatt, who is based in the Atlanta office and serves as Global Chair of the US Public Policy and Regulation practice, founded Dentons’ global Autonomous Vehicles (AV) group.

The Legal Innovator of the Year award honors individuals who are using creative approaches to problem-solving. Tanenblatt, recognized for his work with AVs, developed Dentons’ AV group and the group’s Driverless Commute blog, a popular weekly digest tracking regulatory, political and technical developments in the world of automotive autonomy.

With three decades of experience at the very highest levels of federal and state governments, Tanenblatt is widely regarded as one of the nation’s preeminent policy thought leaders. He has served in the administrations of three US presidents and as a senior advisor to both a US senator and a governor. He has a passion for shepherding disruptive companies and industries through the complicated web of law and regulation.

Tanenblatt, founder and chair of Hands on Georgia, a statewide organization to promote volunteerism, is a prominent advocate for civic engagement, often writing and speaking on the subject. He is commonly quoted or cited by some of the most prestigious news and opinion services in the world, including the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, the New York Times, US News and World Report, National Journal, Politico, The Hill, Roll Call, the Associated Press and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
