On December 8 2011, Dacheng International Legal Practice Capabilities Training Session was held in Beijing by the international practice department of Dacheng Beijing office, with support from Government and Business Management Education Center of China University of Political Science and Law.

The training was offered at a time when foreign capital poured in second-tier and third-tier cities of China. It aimed to take full advantage of Dacheng’s global legal service network to strengthen foreign-related legal service capabilities of Dacheng attorneys, especially attorneys from offices located outside Beijing, whose enhanced and localized offering of service will contribute to Dacheng’s overall competitiveness in expanding into the international market.

The training session, participated by over 120 attorneys from 25 offices outside Beijing, proved quite popular. Attorneys from Beijing, such as Mr. Deng Yongquan, director of the international practice department, exchanged ideas and shared experience in foreign-related legal practice with their peers, covering topics such as international equity merger, international dispute resolution, international business negotiation, English contract writing, legal English learning and essential criteria of attorneys in the international business environment, via illustrating typical cases, operational procedures and sharing standardized legal documents.

The session also invited General Secretary Wang Hongsong of Beijing Arbitration Commission, marketing directors of Amicorp Group’s Beijing and Shanghai offices and Ms. Tian Fang from U.S.-based MainStream Consulting Group to share experience in international arbitration, offshore investment deal structuring and legal risk management of offshore operations.

The three-day session, well-received by participating attorneys, ended on December 10 2011 satisfyingly. As a meaningful and practical attempt, it enhanced exchange and communication between the headquarters and offices elsewhere in international legal practice and strengthened team building for Dacheng’s global legal service network.
