Dubai—Dentons' Middle East Banking and Finance practice has been recognised for its outstanding work in the region, having recently won various industry awards, including 'Banking, Finance and Restructuring Team of the Year' at Legal Week's Middle East Legal Awards 2020 and 'Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG), Green & Socially Responsible Investing (SRI) Deal of the Year' for Majid Al Futtaim's green/sustainable sukuk issuance at the Islamic Finance News (IFN) Law Awards 2020. 

Earlier this year, the team also scooped up three awards at the Bonds, Loans & Sukuk's Middle East Awards for their impressive involvement in a number of 'first of a kind' transactions across the Middle East, including 'Sustainable Finance Deal of the Year' for Majid Al Futtaim's first green sukuk issuance, 'Financial Institutions Deal of the Year' for the Bank of Sharjah's bond issuance, and 'Syndicated Loan Deal of the Year by a Debut Borrower' for the refinancing of 35 existing facilities of Alternative Investments LLC (a subsidiary of Ittihad International LLC).
