Dacheng Attorney Granted License to Practice Law in Russia
On May 15, 2014, Beijing-based attorney Cai Jiefeng was granted a lawyer’s license from the Ministry of Justice of Russia.
Russia has installed a registration system for foreign lawyers practicing law on its land to cope with the ever-increasing internationalization of its own legal market. In 2014, Russia’s Ministry of Justice released a new version of licenses to replace the old ones.
Cai is one of the first foreign lawyers having been granted such licenses in Russia. He is also one of the founders of Dacheng’s Moscow office. The acquisition of such license will facilitate clients doing business with or in Russia and help strengthen Dacheng’s Global Legal Services Network.
