Dacheng Admitted into XD Group’s Legal Service Providers Pool and Signs Framework Agreement with the Group

In March 2014, China XD Group Corporation (hereinafter referred to as “XD Group”) called for bids in Xi’an to form a legal service provider’s pool for the Group and its subsidiaries. More than 20 law firms from Xi’an, Beijing, Nanjing and Chengdu, including a Dacheng team composed of Xi’an-based senior partner Hao Shifeng, associates Li Hao and Zhao Xiaozhe, took apart in the bidding.

The Xi’an-based team was successfully admitted into the pool following a series of public tender procedures. On June 24, a legal services framework agreement was signed between the two sides.

Attorney Li Hao has previously served as standing legal counsel for several XD Group subsidiaries, including XD Baoji Electric Co.,Ltd., Shaanxi Baoguang Vacuum Electric Device Co., Ltd. and Shaanxi Baoguang Power Switch Co., Ltd. since August 2011.

Founded in July 1959, XD Group is the only central enterprise headquartered in Xi’an and a conglomerate that had its origin in five of the 156 key projects outlined in China’s first five-year plan. The group comprises more than 60 research institutions and backbone enterprises at home and abroad, covering such sectors as scientific R&D, manufacturing, trade and finance. In 2003, XD Group was placed under direct administration of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (“SASAC”) of the State Council as a manufacturer of complete equipment for high-voltage and super-high-voltage power transmission and distribution (“PTD”). In November 2004, it was deemed by SASAC as one of the 49 central enterprises with clear focus of business lines. In April 2008, echoing the central government’s call for central enterprises to list their main business, XD Group launched China XD Electric Co., Ltd. and had it listed on Shanghai Stock Exchange on January 28, 2010.

A pioneer in China’s PTD equipment manufacturing sector, XD Group shoulders the responsibility of promoting technology innovation and supporting important infrastructure projects with an offering of key equipment. So far, five products of the Group have been nationally recognized as famous brands, 16 in Shaanxi province and 19 in Xi’an.

With cutting-edge technologies and independent intellectual properties, XD Group has been named one of the “Top 500 Chinese Enterprises”, headed both the lists of “Top 100 Electric Enterprises in China” and “Top 10 Most Competitive and Innovative Electric Enterprises in China” . In April 2008, it was awarded a “National May Day Diploma”.
