China Banking Association (“CBA”) is a national non-profit organization founded in May, 2000 and registered at the Ministry of Civil Affairs with the approval of both the Ministry and People’s Bank of China. As of May 2014, the self-disciplinary organization has attracted 371 members and four observers.
The legal expert panel comprises 120 people, including 30 lawyers, with Song being the only lawyer from Henan province. The candidates were recommended by CBA members and lawyers’ associations of each province (city- and district-level associations included) and screened by CBA itself. Song is the head of Finance and Insurance Committee of Henan Lawyers’ Association and an arbitrator of Zhengzhou Arbitration Commission. He has been practicing law in the banking sector and has been doing research in related areas for years.
