On May 7, in a letter sent by NPC Financial and Economic Committee,Shanghai-based senior partner Qu Feng was officially appointed to an advisory team specially designed for futures legislation. The letter also gave Qu credit for his long-time support and assistance in matters relevant to the legislation.

Legislation on futures has always been on the schedule of the 12th NPC Standing Committee. The project kicked off on December 10 2013, marked by the formation of a special team by NPC Financial and Economic Committee to undertake the drafting of the law.

The advisory team of which Qu is a member aims to solicit suggestions and advice from professional experts in the futures industry and assure quality and timely delivery of the law. An expert attorney in the area of futures, Qu would tap the years of research and practical experience in relation to futures and play his part well in the legislative process.
