Dusseldorf—Global law firm Dentons is expanding its Corporate/M&A practice with the recruitment of Dr. Michael Krömker, who joined the Dusseldorf office as a partner today. He will focus on energy and infrastructure projects as well as on the IT and media sectors. He will also advise Chinese clients on their investments in Germany and Europe. He joins along with Of Counsel Xi Xie.

"Michael Krömker brings further clout to our Corporate and M&A practice and will deepen and broaden the industry and sector capabilities that we are able to offer our clients in Germany," comments Dr. Christof Kautzsch, Co-Head of Dentons’ Corporate group in Germany and Europe.

Michael Krömker has extensive experience in national and cross-border M&A transactions and in major projects. Most recently, he advised on a cooperation regarding CO2-free steel production, an asset manager on its participation in a district heating network, and the shareholders of an AI and cloud computing specialist on its sale to a US group of companies. He joins from Luther, where he was a partner since 2014, and prior to that, he worked at Linklaters for more than 10 years.

Andreas Ziegenhagen, Germany Managing Partner, said, “The recruitment of Michael Krömker supports our sustainable growth strategy for Germany – both in terms of expanding our Corporate and M&A capabilities in the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region and strengthening our industry knowledge in the infrastructure, energy, IT and media sectors. Further, he will enable us to leverage our strong China expertise even better. I warmly welcome him to Dentons!”
