Dentons’ Montréal office sees impressive growth in securities and corporate finance transactions in 2020

Dentons’ Corporate group in Montréal has acted as counsel on securities and corporate finance transactions in various sectors over the last year, closing more than twice the number of deals over the same period in 2019.

  • Stifel Nicolaus Canada Inc.: Advised a syndicate of underwriters, led by Stifel Nicolaus Canada Inc., on a CA$35 million financing and concurrent TSX listing of GURU Beverages Inc.
  • Stifel Nicolaus Canada Inc.: Advised a syndicate of underwriters, led by Stifel Nicolaus Canada Inc., on a CA$23 million bought deal public offering of Tecsys Inc. common shares.
  • Aya Gold & Silver Inc.: Advised Aya Gold & Silver Inc. in the upsizing and closing of its C$26,225,000 underwritten private placement (Canada, U.S. and Europe).       
  • Peak Fintech Group: Advised on a brokered financing of up to $10M of Secured Corporate Bonds and Warrants.
  • Cascades Inc.: Advised on its CA$125 million bought-deal public offering of common shares.
  • Cascades Inc.: Advised on its CA$300 million notes offering.
  • Aéroports de Montréal: Advised Aéroports de Montréal on its private placement of C$500 million 3.030 per cent Revenue Bonds, Series R.
  • Calian Group Ltd.: Advised Calian Group Ltd. in connection with its bought deal public offering of 1,568,600 common shares at a price of $44.00 per common share for aggregate gross proceeds of over $69 million.
  • ATW Tech Inc.: Advised ATW Tech Inc. on its C$1,500,000 private placement of 30,000,000 common shares and on the acquisition of Semeon Analytics Inc. for a purchase price of $2,955,000, payable at closing by the issuance to the vendors of 59,100,000 common shares of ATW Tech Inc.
