Dentons grows Employment and Labor practice with Rodney Moore in Atlanta

ATLANTA – Dentons, the world’s largest law firm, today announces the expansion of its Employment and Labor practice with the addition of Rodney Moore as partner. Moore, resident in Dentons’ Atlanta office, will focus on representing clients in labor and employment matters, investigations and business litigation.

Prior to joining Dentons, Moore served as a shareholder in private practice, where he represented employers as lead counsel in federal and state court employment litigation, class and collective actions, labor arbitrations and administrative proceedings. An experienced litigator, Moore has tried cases to verdict in both federal and state courts. He has conducted numerous judicial and labor arbitrations, and he routinely helps clients respond to investigations by government agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and state equivalents.

“We are pleased to welcome Rodney to our Employment and Labor practice,” said Dentons US CEO Mike McNamara. “He is a highly skilled lawyer whose presence and experience will deepen the bench of the practice for our clients both nationally and locally in Atlanta.”

Moore has represented Fortune 500 corporations, emerging businesses and public agencies in major litigation, including class actions alleging unfair business practices and constitutional violations. He has assisted management responses to claims in all areas of employment law, including overtime claims and other wage and hour claims brought under the Fair Labor Standards Act and similar state statutes; the Family and Medical Leave Act; restrictive covenants and trade secrets; whistleblower matters; and due process claims and hearings.

Through his past roles as president of the National Bar Association and membership in numerous organizations such as the Technology Association of Georgia Diversity and Inclusion Society and the National School Board Association, Moore has a nationwide network of contacts and relationships. With a strong in-house and outside counsel background, he brings a unique and practical perspective to issues critical to the evolving workplace.

Moore earned his JD from the University of Santa Clara Law School, where he served as associate editor of the Computer and High Technology Law Journal. He earned his BA from the University of Washington. He is admitted to and in good standing with the Georgia, Tennessee and California bars.
