Canada—Dentons has appointed Robin Longe, partner in Vancouver, as Canada co-chair of the Firm’s Mining group. He joins Edmonton-based partner Leanne Krawchuk as fellow co-chair.

Having joined Dentons in 2019, Robin is a member of the Firm’s Corporate group and a natural resources lawyer whose practice is focused on mining, forestry, environmental, and aboriginal law. He has extensive experience in all aspects of corporate transactions in the mining and forestry sectors, and is regularly involved in the purchase and sale of mines and mining rights and related equipment and infrastructure.

In addition, Robin regularly advises clients on mining option agreements, joint ventures, and other agreements specific to the mining industries, as well as negotiating arrangements with First Nations in British Columbia, including impact and benefit agreements, negotiation protocols and limited partnership arrangements.

Dentons’ expertise in the Canadian mining sector was recently recognized in the Lexpert Special Edition: Mining 2020, in which 14 partners across the region were named as leading lawyers.
