Dentons Hosts 2019 Intellectual Property and Cultural and Technological Development Forum in Beijing

Dentons hosted the 2019 Intellectual Property and Cultural and Technological Development Forum on April 20, 2019. With the theme on “New Circumstances, New Expectations, New Development”, the forum was joined by 70 client representatives and Dentons lawyers.

This forum was compered by Mr. Wang Weidong, head of Dentons China Intellectual Property Committee and Mr. Wang Zhangwei, Head of Dentons China Technology and Entertainment Committee.

Four intellectual property experts in academic research and judicial and corporate law were invited to speak at the forum; they are Professor Liu Chuntian from Renmin University of China, Professor Zhang Ping from Peking University, Su Chi, former president of Beijing Intellectual Property Court, and Su Yunpeng, General Manager of the Legal Department of Tsinghua Tongfang Group, who shared their thoughts on innovation economy and intellectual property rights, the role of the court in intellectual property protection, liability of intellectual property infringement in post-internet era, legal risks as well as corporate management of intellectual property.

The compelling, multi-angle insight given by the four experts to lawyers practicing in intellectual property, technology and entertainment was well received by colleagues attending the forum.
