Dentons ranked by Global Arbitration Review as a Top 20 International Arbitration firm globally

On 4 April 2019, Global Arbitration Review (GAR) unveiled its 2019 GAR30 ranking of elite international arbitration practices, featuring Dentons’ international arbitration group in 20th position globally this year.

GAR referred to some of Dentons’ most visible recent successes, including the securing of nine digit awards for some of its clients and complete defense wins for the People’s Republic of China in its first ICSID arbitration going to a hearing, for the Commonwealth of Australia in a multi-billion dollar arbitration against Philip Morris, and Gazprom in another multi-billion dollar arbitration against the Republic of Lithuania, among many other cases.

Dentons’ International Arbitration group brings together the experience and knowledge of more than 150 lawyers in the world’s major arbitration centers. Jean-Christophe Honlet, Global Head of International Arbitration and Bart Legum, Global Head of Investment Arbitration, commented: “Being part of this select group of top international arbitration law firms is a point of pride for the 40 partners of our group globally and recognition of the results achieved for our clients in all key international arbitration centers and all continents.  We are also grateful for GAR to have singled out several firsts our group has achieved in the past couple of years for our clients, following many others in the tradition of our firm.”
