From November 29 to 30, the Ninth Lawyers Congress of Jilin Province was held at the Jilin Province Hotel's Conference Center. Nearly 300 lawyers and special representatives attended the conference. The General Assembly elected the President, Vice President, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Supervisors, Executive Directors, Directors and Supervisors of the 9th Jilin Lawyers Association and appointed the Secretary General. Wang Zhe, head of Dentons Changchun office and senior partner, was elected as the President of the 9th Jilin Lawyers Association. Yu Yaowu, head of Dentons Jilin office and senior partner, was elected as the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Supervisors.

Mr. Yu Yaowu, Vice President of the 8th Jilin Lawyers Association, announced the agenda of the conference and was elected as the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of the 9th Jilin Lawyers Association at the conference

Chen Xiuli, a senior partner from Dentons Changchun office, was elected as a director. Senior partners Lin Haijun and Gao Shucheng, partner Liu Yancheng, part-time associate Wang Xiaolin (all from Changchun), along with partner Sun Huayin and part-time associate Wang Zhihui (both from Jilin), were elected as lawyer representatives for the conference.

At the opening ceremony, Hu Jiafu, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Political and Legal Committee, pointed out in his speech that lawyers are an indispensable force for the construction of the rule of law and the construction of a safe environment in Jilin. Mr. Hu praised Dentons' outstanding performance in acting as a legal advisor for the “Changchun Metro Line 2 Project” and recognized our firm as a well-deserved legal guardian of private enterprises.

The General Assembly reviewed and approved the newly revised "Articles of Association of Jilin Lawyers Association", "Work Report of the Eighth Session of the Council of Jilin Lawyers Association", "Work Report of the Supervisory Committee of Jilin Lawyers Association", and "Report on the Status of Collection of Contributions of Jilin Lawyers Association".
