In 2011 and 2012 respectively, Securities Association of China set up a professional board and a mediation center for the purpose of settling securities-related disputes. The association also formulated and released guidelines and regulations on how to settle these disputes. This initiative, backed by local securities associations and membership units, aims to diversify dispute resolution mechanisms in China’s capital market, better protect market participants’ rights and interests and ensure sound growth of the securities market.
A total of 269 dispute mediators from 36 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities were selected by Securities Association of China to constitute a network of professionals. They are from securities companies, local securities associations, law firms, regulatory agencies and institutes of higher education.
Huang Song, capital markets head of Dacheng’s Kunming office was among the seven securities professionals from Yunnan who were selected in April as securities dispute mediators.
With Huang being selected as a mediator, the bond between Dacheng and Securities Association of China would be strengthened. We would also be able to understand how the association handles all kinds of securities-related disputes.
