Recently, a team led by senior partner Lu Yuefeng from Dacheng’s Guangzhou office was retained by the Large Business Division of Guangzhou Municipal Taxation Bureau as its standing legal counsel. The team also includes Guangzhou-based attorneys Xu Yongsheng, Li Zhiyun, Deng Liting and Lu Fei.
The Large Business Division of Guangzhou Municipal Taxation Bureau, established with approval from Guangdong Institutional Organization Committee, starts to administer taxation affairs in January 1 2014. It is mainly responsible for collecting local taxes, shared taxes and fees from businesses and their subsidiaries in Guangzhou that are filed with the State Administration of Taxation and Guangdong Local Taxation Bureau, Guangzhou-based enterprise headquarters and businesses under their control, and local tax payers (including withholding agents and fee payers) with more than RMB30mln of tax obligations. It is also responsible for supervising tax sources, conducting routine checks and providing personalized taxation-related services for taxpayers under its administration.
