A Dacheng team led by Shanghai-based partner Dai Jianmin advised “Crazy Teacher” (“Fengkuang jiaoshi” in Chinese pinyin) in securing US$20mln worth of Series B financing from Tencent Holdings Limited. The team was responsible for negotiating with the investor, conducting due diligence, drafting and revising transaction documents, and assisting in the execution of the documents.

“Crazy Teacher” is a leading mobile internet-based online-to-offline (O2O) platform for after-class tutoring services targeting middle-school and elementary school students. Clients can select their tutors online and then have the tutors come to them while saving the trouble of paying fees to offline agencies or third parties for finding the tutors.
