Kiping Group, listed on the Main Board of Shanghai Stock Exchange, would become China’s No.1 glass manufacturer following the private placement and purchase of assets from substantial shareholders.
The private placement project also involves disposal of assets in bankruptcy of an H-stock listed company, substantial shareholders’ transitional trusteeship over assets in bankruptcy and structure design with a cooperating buyout fund.
Kiping Group has, in both 2013 and 2014, applied for private placements and gained CSRC approvals. It is noted in the capital markets for its fast-paced refinancing moves. The two private placements were both advised by the Guangzhou-based team led by attorney Lu Wangsheng.
