Dacheng Attorneys Advise Macrolink on Offshore Property Investment

On January 18 2014, a formal contract was signed between Macrolink Group and Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, a Korean government body, and Blackstone Resort Co., Ltd., in which it was agreed that Macrolink and Blackstone would jointly develop a resort (named “Samite Mansion” or “Jinxiu shanzhuang” in Chinese pinyin) in Jeju Island of South Korea. This marked the unveiling of Microlink’s overseas expansion.

The project will build resort hotels, luxury resort apartments and a Chinese food street, which will cover a floor space of 700,000 square meters and will be carried out in three phases within six years. An estimated amount of RMB10bn will be injected to fund the construction of a top-class resort in South Korea, even in the world.

Dacheng attorneys worked collectively with Sejong, a Korean firm, on the project for Macrolink and will continue to serve the client. The project team is composed of attorneys Wang Jie, Liu Qian, Jin Qilie and Li Guangguo.
