On the World Intellectual Property Day on April 26, Zhichanli and IPRdaily unveiled their first “China’s Top 50 IP Lawyers Ranking”. Dentons senior partners Wang Weidong and Huang Miaorong are amongst those who are recognized.

The data used in the selection process is extracted from closed matters dated between January 1, 2014 and December 30, 2018. 200 lawyers were shortlisted based on 8 criteria, including practice experience, quality of clients, case representativeness, media ratings, awards received, winning ratio, number of matters advised and comments of a panel of leading businesses.

A public vote followed on April 19 in which more than 300,000 votes were cast. The vote, together with scores given by the business panel, were calculated to determine the top 50 IP lawyers.
