2018 RICS Awards China, hosted by Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, took place in Wanda Reign Hotel on 4 May. The real estate and construction engineering group of Dentons Xi’an office was nominated for the Professional Advisor of the Year (Real Estate).

The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) is a globally acknowledged professional body that specializes in more than 17 industries, including land, property, construction, project management and environment. Established 142 years ago, RICS boasts more than 140,000 members located across 144 countries. With more than 400 accredited undergraduate courses and more than 500 research papers and public policy reviews published annually, it keeps its members abreast of the latest industry trends and has received support of 50-plus local associations and partner groups.

RICS Awards, a prestigious honor in real estate and construction industry, has been held in a number of international cities for more than 20 years. When it was first launched in China in 2017, it became an instant success. The Awards intends to showcase the innovation and progress a country or region has achieved in land, property, construction and environment and has attracted extensive industry engagement and recognition. The selection process for the awards is extremely strict. A panel of industry experts would comprehensively assess the submitted teams and projects based on several factors, including the level of specialism and achievements, teamwork as well as technological innovation. Compliance with the global standards and project sustainability would also be taken into consideration. Other nominees include JLL, Cushman & Wakefield and CBRE.
